During this May holiday, I went to my mother’s company to do volunteer work. My mother needs to work during the holiday; her company holds a car show on Olympic center. I have never gone to see a car show before. When I ask my mother to take me there, she agreed.
After taking twenty minutes underground, we arrived on the Olympic center. Mother changed her cloth and put on a certificate. I was telling to be the door person, when there were people come in, I need to regard them and help them find the way. Standing can sometimes difficult, especially when you need to stand for hours. I was tired of standing for such a long time without moving.
It can be seeing in the newspaper that how foreign parent teach their child. They need to work in order to get extra money, their parent give them much more space and let them autocephaly. In china this teaching style cannot be carry out. Like me, I have never gone out to work before. When we send our application to the university, we can always see the school thinking high of the Community involvement and employability skills. When I stand beside the door, I thought about the entire successful teaching example I have seen before. All of them were follow the independence and autocephaly.
There was a sentence in china called”how can little tiger grow up without leaving their mother?” From the experience, I know much more about my self and how hard for wok. Thy school pay high attention is it wants us to be duty that is more social. While we do the work, we can learn from the things and grow up. How can we learn things better than we do it self?

the taming of the shrew

On December 19, 2008, l went to see a school drama play organized by school drama club; it was one of the four comedies of Shakespeare” the taming of the shrew”. Our school organized the drama show every year, it was always about Shakespeare, l has heard that when we enter to grade 11, we will study one of Shakespeare’s drama” Hamlet” .l have never watch any drama of his. As grade 11 student suggested, l buy the ticket and went to see what it was.
Shakespeare was the most grandeur dramatist and writer during the time of revival of learning, his drama and poem was still famous around the world now, as there was a truth says every giant has its grandeur place. I was curious about how could the show express to people.
At first l did not understand it at all, the name of the character was difficult to remember and l can hardly hear what they are talking, as gut went deeper, l finally understand it bit by bit , the gut was really great and l like it very much that l have nearly forget about the time.It can be say that it was the show, which makes me interested in drama, after going back to home, l immediately search on the Internet to find the information about Shakespeare’s other work, l am also went to the bookshop to buy the original edition English book of Shakespeare. Form this experience l knows more about the western culture and the history of its development, reading those books step up my knowledge and edify my sentiment, it make me looking at things in a different way and thought deeper about the meaning of world and life. I think that is why these grant books can famous in the world for hundred years; it is the crystal of wisdom of human being

Amity foundation

Last week l went with my classmate to the amity foundation to give our fundraising money to the foundation. As each child only need 160 for one year, our class can offer seven children to study in school. The missionary reception us and gave us large amount of information paper, we can choose any children we want to imburse, the missionary also told us there was difficult to find another maecenas to go on support the child, as a result, we decide to give the money to three children and let them finished primary school.
From this experience, l know that there are still many poor children who can not go to school, compare to them, we are much more lucky, we have clean class room and helpful teacher, we really should study hard

went to church

St.Paul church is the biggest church in Nanjing. Last month, l went to the church to attend worship. st.paul is a Christian church, it has been stand in Nanjing for over one hundred years, l was expect that there will be a Abba in the church on my way there, listening to my penance and kindly channel me, but unluckily there wasn’t.
Interesting in Christianity began with my experiencing of reading a novel, the novel is basing on the story in Bible and include many anthem. I was convinced by the book and began reading Bible, christianism so become my favorite religion
While attending the worship, I was founding that the visitor was almost older people; l was the only teenager in the church. There was a guider in the front and leading us, we read some poetry to admire god and sing some songs. I felt excited after hearing there would be a speech giving by a charity worker, she has been working in the amity foundation before and been to many poor area to helping people. During her speech, I understand deeper about the idea that Christianiam want to show. Believe in a religion is the way that people find a place to bailment their heart and yearn of the beauty things and explore of new things. Like Taoism and Buddhism in china. People who lives in the ancient time also has the same idea

eat french food

l went to eat French food with my father on March 7.before we went, I discussed the place with my parents for a long time. French is a romantic country, it is famous for its rustic amorous feeling and classicality .I has dreamed to travel in French in the future. Choosing to eat French food is very interesting to me; I have the chance to learning their culture and habit.
Les Sene is a small restaurant near Nanjing University. It is clean and hum oral. I was surprised that the guests there were all western people. My father and I was the only Chinese guest there. When I went inside, I even meet my discussion teacher. That is interesting.
l like the food very much. We ordered potato soup, salad, steak and mutton chop. Potato soup is my favorite food. It tastes very special, different from all the soup I have ate before. Its seemed has cheese in it but made like Bisk. Eat soup at first was also a king of trying different habit. The salad there was not the same as we eat at other place also. It has less cheese and taste more refreshing. I eat steak as dinner, it taste delicious and have black pepper poured on it, french food have heavy flavor than Chinese food.
In china, we usually eat rise or pasta, but in French, there is not as many kinds as in china, some people do not like eat Western food, but l think Western food is great. When we went aboard in the future, adapt the food there is very important. I have heard that in western country there are fewer vegetable, how we plan our future is the thing we need to think now.

visit Nanjing museum

On January 9, l went to Nanjing museum with my mother and uncle, the museum is holding an art exhibition and open to all public. I visited folk art, modern art hall, calligraphy, and painting hall.
In ancient china, people use brush to write and paint, this habit went on thousand years, there are still people who draw paint on brush now. I have learned to write calligraphy when I was young; it was difficult and need lots of time. I was interested that this exhibition will show the brush paint which was drawn by a famous drawer. I was always confused how they draw such beautiful paint.
Calligraphy and painting hall so become my most interesting place. At there, l saw many artwork, animals, flowers and natural sceneries. My favorite artwork is a drawing of plum. Plum opens in winter, it represent strong and indomitable, the artist using ink to paint, it line is very smooth and can be seen the superb skill the artist has, l have begin to love it when l first saw it.
In china, artist usually put their emotion or ambition on the paint. This can be an express of pay a tribute of beautiful things or the activism of their memory. They will also write poem when they finish the paint, this poem is always fit the artistic conception. When I saw the artwork, I can feel the emotion the artist wants to tell.
l spends about two hours on the museum, it was interesting and l saw many good artworks. I think visiting more exhibitions like that is good for our sentiment, by visiting art exhibition; we can study the knowledge about art and know more about art history. I think art is a kind of expression of human being; that artwork is the crystal of human wisdom. In school, there is always a place to hold student art show; the school might have the same wish as the exhibition: all for art

physical activity

Swimming is my favorite sport, one of my physical activity is about swimming.l went to a swimming class when l was young, now swimming is become part of my life. If you can swim, you will find much more joy than other people when you face water.

In summer, swimming is the most popular sports; sunshines hot as it want to singe us. I usually swim in summer, while l swim ,all the hot feeling is away from me ,the only thing l can feel is cool and joy, it make you feel very comfortable and if you study after doing an activity, the efficiency of study is much higher.
In winter, l sometimes went to swim, the water temperature is warm, and swim in winter is good for my health. If you want to lose wait, swim is also a good way
Swim in the sea-peace and expansion
In summer holiday, l usually went to Qingdao to spend my holiday. Qingdao is near the sea and is famous for its beach; the 2008 Olympic sailboat competition was hold in Qingdao. When l went to the city last year, I am luckily watching it live. There are lots of place in the world where near the sea or have beautiful beach. My dream is travel around the world, when l went those place, l can swim and joy the beautiful view, this activity is kind of force my dream and make me always looking forward to it.
When I went aboard, swimming is also can make me make friend. I can have chat to the people who have same habit with me and went swim with my university schoolmate. This will make my life more colorful
After talking about swim, badminton is also one of the activities I do in daily life. Badminton has the same function as swim, it also make me more health.
I have heard many people saying the same thing that health is the base of everything; you can do things you want only if you are health. I think that is why western university has so much attention on physical activity

club experience

my school have many clubs, l joined the badminton club.play badminton can exercise your coordinate ability and easy to play.
there is one sentence says"born to run"people born with legs,l guess that may want to tell us exercise is the significance of live.once a weekend, l went to do club activity with my classmates, at there, we met our PE teacher, he invite us to play competition,while we are playing,he taught us the role of playing badminton and some skills,we learned the skill quickly,l enjoyed the game very much and had interested in it much more than usual since than.
if you want to do something, you must have interested on it, or you will never really enjoy it.after l play with my PE teacher, l began loving this sport,l went to the sports hall and play badminton frequently,while l play the game, l study and practise the skill,every time l learn a lot,and l knows why my teacher and parents says interest is the most important thing.
play badminton is a kind of exercise,when we finished one days study,we usually feel tired, play some activity this time can relax our mind and good for our health,we can only study well if you have a good health,that's why there is a byword called"corporeity is the asset of revolution"
during doing club activity ,l learn that interest is the power of study,it gave me the key of done my goals,l suddenly knows the meaning of "studying while playing",these experience is precious to me ,when l went into college or get a job,these will always in my mind

volunteer experience

During the last term of high school, l joined the school volunteer club; we teach primary school students with all their studies and help them to do the homework. l went with two of my classmates and work together.
We choose to teach Mandarin as Mandarin is our most confident subject. During our teaching, l am profoundly understand why older people ceaselessly telling us the impotence of working as a group. Confucius, one of the most influence people in Chinese history, has once said, "two heads are always better than one”. While we are teaching, we always face with different problems because there was always something we cannot remember it all, but as working in a group, we communion our thought and discuss to get the right answer. I was enjoying listening to my classmate’s novelty idea. there idea also make me come up some new idea and makes a virtuous circle.
while teaching the students, l am also thought of myself . everyone was not perfect, what we can do is listen to other people and make our self better, as teaching Mandarin, my thought was ineluctable taking with my own opinion, some of them are not quit integrity, listen to other peoples idea can make my thought better and help me finding the excellence of them. working as a group can help us understanding each other.
in 21 century, one of our dream is to be success in the modern world, we must work hard and get every chance we can get, the most important thing is to live with other people and work with them, that why we are live, doing volunteer work is a kind of embodiment of your kindness, working as a group will help me enhance you working skill, and that is a huge present of my future.

eat ltalian food

December 18, l went with my classmates to eat Italian food with grade 12 mentors; we ate at Jack's place, a famous Italian restaurant in Nanjing.l decided to eat Italian food when l heard our class plan to eat western food together. Italian is famous for pizza; the traditional pizza must be different from the pizza we eat at pizza hut. It is also different from American or Japanese food, which we can eat in daily. Trying a new type of food is the goal I went there.
I arrived there at about 6 o’clock, the restaurant is not much big, but very clean and warm, music has been playing while we are eating. There are few people in the restaurant too.As soon as l sat down, the waiters came and gave us the menu, we each choose the food. We decided to eat potato salad, mushroom tower and pate noodles. We four ordered a pizza together.Italian food is different from Chinese food. I like it very much. it has more cheese and taste more sweet, but not all of them are sweet, like mushroom tower, it made of meat and mushroom, it taste salt and inclusions cheese, give me very special feeling.In Chinese, we usually eat rice and sometimes eat pasta, but in Italian, they usually eat pasta and almost never eat rice, for us, eating bread or noodles everyday is absolutely a hard thing. There is also different eating habit between Chinese and westerner. In china, we usually eat soup after we finished dinner, but in western country, they usually eat soup first.
I think the most difference between Chinese and western eating habit is we do not eat flour food as our staple food. In northern china, people do more likely to eat flour food, but we made them different kind, like steamed bread, noodle and seed cake. In western, people made them as all kinds of bread. Western people also eat meat and vegetables like us, but they hardly use oil to cook food .actually, l think, even Italian food is delicious, l cannot eat it often, I still miss rice

visiting exhibition

A few weeks ago, my classmates and I went to look at an art exhibition, it is called Wu Weishan cultural figures sculpture gallery exhibition, it shows the Chinese cultural figures sculpture, it was very traditional artwork and made all by Wu Weishan.
Wu weishan is a famous artist, he has earned many awards and has a great impact in international .There are many sculptures in the hall ,people were in different forms, standing, couching or other kind of form, single moment were catch ed by the artist and perfect reflected.
The name of my favorite artwork is "Ah Bing”, it was made in 2007.The artist uses hard lines to sculpt the shape of the character. With a small number of lines, the artist portrays a complete out line of the shape. It not symmetrical everywhere but looks very smooth. The artwork has an image of an old man who wears a hat and embraces a musical instrument, slanting his face slightly and inclining his body, his eyes closed because of blindness and he can be seen wearing a loose robe. His robe looks bronzed and his face and hat are colored with deep blue, as the color of rock. The artist sculpts Ah Bing as he finished one day's work and prepares to go home; his face reveals a manner of vicissitude and a determination.
When l saw the artwork, l find it is new to make musical instrument integration in the robe, no one is currently using this kind of technique. it is like Erhu is become part of his life and can not be separated .As soon as l saw it, l started thinking about the history of Ah Bing.he experienced much misery in his life, he is very poor and blind, through the hardest times he never gave up music, his life is committed to music and created many famous music.
When l was in primary school, l studied Erhu for a few months, but for some reason, l gave it up, this is one of my biggest regrets and l admired him for his determination. The artist may have the same feeling as me, l think he wants to commemorate Ah Bing's contribution for music and expression his aspect for the old man.
l like the artwork very much, the glittering quality of Ah Bing attracted me. his love of music and strong will deeply moved me , the artist sculpted him elaborately , it makes me think real Ah Bing is standing towards me.l think other people will also like the art work ,because everyone enjoys seeing beautiful things and glitter quality will make people respect.
